One in four Irish women and one in seven Irish men will experience some form of abuse from an intimate partner in their lifetime. They may be someone who works with you or for you.
Effective workplace-based responses to Domestic Abuse
We provide trainings to Kilkenny and Carlow based businesses/organisations seeking to deliver effective workplace-based responses to Domestic Violence and Abuse.
Becoming an aware and supportive workplace’
1.5hr online training for all staff members to increase awareness of the different forms of domestic violence and abuse and how they manifest in the workplace.
At the end of this training, participants will
- have learned about the different forms of domestic abuse and their impacts, both on affected co-workers and the wider workplace
- feel more confident starting safe conversations about domestic abuse with their managers/co-workers
- understand that the safety and wellbeing of all staff members is at the heart of your organisation’s workplace culture
‘Recognising, Responding to and Referring a co-worker experiencing Domestic Abuse’
3.5hr in-person training designed for HR/People Managers/Designated Persons who may be in a position to facilitate or respond to disclosures of domestic abuse from co-workers. Max 16 participants.
At the end of this training, participants will
- feel more confident opening conversations about domestic abuse
- be equipped to respond appropriately to disclosures of domestic abuse from co-workers
- have learned how to effectively refer co-workers to relevant internal supports / specialist external supports
